Art-Focused Project Management

FAQ

you got questions? i got answers.

what qualifies as an “exhibition”?

An exhibition is by definition, is a public display of works of art or items of interest, held in an art gallery or museum or at a trade fair. In MY definition, an exhibition is a collection of works displayed in ANY space for the public to see, for a set period of time. The goal of any art exhibition or show I produce is to draw new crowds to a space, connect new eyes to artwork, and sell art.

why should I host an art show?

There are tons of great reasons to allow your space to be filled with great local art! Showing the community that your business cares about local artists enough to partner with them in their professional path reflects positively on your brand and makes an impact on your customer’s perception of your business. If your business has “support our community” or “foster cultural enrichment” in your mission statement, hosting an exhibition of local art is a great way to deliver on that principle.

I’m an artist and I want an exhibition, but I have no idea where to start.

Congratulations! You’ve identified a professional goal and are making a step towards achieving it, and that in itself is a win.

I’ve got lots of experience in the steps it takes to brainstorm, propose, and execute an exhibition — from both a venue and an artist’s point of view. Let’s sit down, look at your work, and make a plan of action. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so expect to put a few hours into pursuing this milestone. We’ll get you set up for success.

I love buying work from artists at markets and events, but now I just have piles of prints. Can you help with that?

Of course I can! Let’s get those puppies up on a wall where you can enjoy them. I can help you get everything framed, sorted out, and displayed in a way that wows YOU and your friends.

Also, THANK YOU for buying local and supporting our folks at their markets. Keep it up!

I’m all good on the art front, but I DO need someone to make sure things go smoothly on my wedding day. Know anyone?

I’ve got you covered.

You need someone to make sure your caterer is set up in the right spot, light those candles, get the ladies to hair and makeup on time, and fluff that centerpiece greenery…. I can do all those things, plus the things you forgot to think about. I’ve coordinated dozens of weddings and events of all types and sizes, and planned weddings from scratch. If I can’t help out, I’m positive that I know someone who can.
